Activity Report of the SETI Institute February 2016

csc report

Each and every day, researchers at the SETI Institute are expanding mankind’s knowledge and understanding in the search for life beyond earth. Their output and productivity includes publication in peer-reviewed journals, scientific presentations and speaking engagements, technical reports, intellectual property filings, and more. As part of our outreach commitment to share our science and research with the world, we are releasing our first “Activity Report of the Carl Sagan Center” at the SETI Institute which catalogs the work of our scientists for the month of February, 2016.

You’ll see “A New Technology for Terrestrial and Planetary Applications," published in Astrobiology; “The Last Possible Outposts for Life on Mars” published in Astrobiology; and "Distribution of cold adaptation proteins in microbial mats in Lake Joyce, Antarctica” published in the Journal of Microbiological Methods. Check out our conference participation, technical reports from our Kepler Exoplanet team, and our presentations at places like UC Berkeley, University of Pennsylvania, the California Academy of Sciences, Stanford University, and Death Valley National Park – to name a few.

Our quest belongs to all of mankind, and today, we're making it easier for you to share in the excitement of discovery and exploration that is daily life at the SETI Institute!
