Join us for a conversation about the archive from the perspective of digital technology. Experts Sam Gustman from the USC Shoah Foundation Institute, established in 1994 by Steven Spielberg, archives video testimonies from survivors and other witnesses of the Holocaust, and Ken Williams from the ETC at USC, has been evaluating and facilitating the global standard for the rollout of digital cinema.

Speakers:

Sam Gustman, Chief Technology Officer for the Shoah Foundation Institute, provides technical leadership for the integration of the institute’s digital archives into USC’s collection of electronic resources, including the IWitness Video Challenge that engages middle and high school students by bringing testimonies into the classroom.

Kenneth Williams is Executive Director and CEO of the Entertainment Technology (ET) Center  at USC. The ET center has been evaluating & facilitating the global standard for the rollout of Digital Cinema. The ET Center brings together the top entertainment, technology and consumer electronics companies to better understand and collaborate on the impact of new technology on all aspects of the entertainment industry.
