Kepler Support Scientist
The SETI Institute is seeking an astronomer/scientist to assist Kepler, NASA's Discovery mission to measure the frequency of Earth-sized habitable exoplanets, during the Extended Mission. The successful candidate will become a member of the Kepler Science Office, located at the NASA-Ames Research Center.  He/she will assist in the calibration and characterization of Kepler data, the on-going search for exoplanets, and the scientific interpretation and exploitation of the results.

Post- or Pre-doctoral Researcher
SETI Institute invites applications for a Post- or Pre-doctoral Researcher to work with Dr. Jeonghee Rho. SETI is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated astronomical researcher who is interested in studying dust formation and nucleosynthesis in supernova ejecta, and molecular interacting supernova remnants, shock-induced star formation, and associtead interstellar medium cycles. Whether supernovae (SNe) are major dust makers in the Universe is a fundamental astrophysical problem to impact understanding of early Universe, star-formation history, and dust cycles of interstellar medium. Recent infrared/submm observations of young supernova remnants show that SNe are indeed important sites of dust formation, and produce copious amounts of heavy elements and release the dust on short timescales.

Postdoctoral Associate
The Carl Sagan Center at the SETI Institute is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to perform definition and development studies in support of the ORganics Exposure in Orbit experiment (OREOCUBE).
