Jill Tarter likes to go running around the dish. This is a "runner's" view of the path.
Some of the visitor quarters are cabins like that inhabited by Jodie Foster in the movie Contact. The porches on these cabins are wonderful places to work, or for quiet reflection and relaxation between observing shifts.
A peek under the dish reveals the manner in which the "bowl" holds its shape. These attachments are invisible from above.
A look at the MRF, or Mobile Research Facility. In this photograph, it is decorated for a holiday season that for Project Phoenix staff, was spent away from home.
Ly Ly, our web master has called his photograph of the telescopes huge feed, "Gregorian in the mist." It is an impressive sight, and one a visitor never forgets.
